Legal Documents: Cummings Backruptcy

 File — Box: 22, Folder: 11
Identifier: Folder 11

Scope and Contents

From the Series: The contents of Series II are organized by business name or type. These documents are grouped by topic and cover a wider span of years. The Colorado Gold Mining Company covers between 1899 and 1916. These documents follow the original exchange of maps, financial records, legal records, and correspondence between Synnott and partners and investors in the company. Similarly, the Western Finance & Security Company’s group maintains the original order of correspondence that the documents were found grouped by. The second half of Series II consists of legal transcripts and documents regarding court cases (particularly, Synnott’s involvement in John E. Cumming’s bankruptcy), maps and blueprints of local and western land investments, and miscellaneous receipts, financial statements, and cash books that catalog a variety of Synnott’s investments, savings, and stockholdings.
