Scope and Contents
Series III consists of miscellaneous correspondence and notes that were found separate from the rest of the collection’s original binders. These documents are either undated or were catalogued without context. Dated documents in this series are catalogued as miscellaneous because they were found fastened together, but with dates and correspondence that did not chronologically match with either other. These documents were kept together because of their context, instead of separating them into Series I by their respective years. This series also includes documents that are too damaged make out the date or context.
Also included in this collection are various notes and receipts from Synnott and his partners that do not provide a date or reason for their relevance. These documents mainly consist of random notes cataloguing numbers and prices or exchanges. These documents may have originally been attached to other correspondence, but have since been separated and processed as miscellaneous documents instead, making it difficult to catalog them with their original attachments. This series includes various pamphlets, booklets, correspondence, legal and financial agreements, mortgage and real estate documents, and personal notes.
